you know that thing about the best-laid plans?
nada over here but yes, we have bananas.
Blast From The Past--
I Will Glean
I will burn and the inside will burn and the edges. The black will overtake the flesh and the trial and the winnowing. My full basket of chaff will dump out the door I once jumped from into the truck full of hay bales my ankle wedging and twisting between two of them, between all of them I will smother. I will gather tares. I will glean the scrabble across the tile and the clatter. I will pick up, I will sweep. The black will overtake the white and the flame will fester. The inside will bubble and sway. I will kneel, I will pray again. I will fall short. The bucket of water will darken when the black overtakes my sponge spreading five things across the floor--My reflection, my castoffs, my loops, my buttons, my backwash. I will wipe clear across to the baseboards and touch. Then the nailing. And over.
