My reading went well last night. The reading was long but Jackson came and Barbara whom I haven't seen in a long long time. I got meet my publisher but was too tired to hang around after the reading and mingle. But I will see her again at the book fair today which I am able to go to because I rented a scooter. I am officially a gimp. I am disabled. It is embarrassing because I know a lot of people look at me and think oh she is so fat no wonder she's in a scooter the cow. But whatever.
I hadn't realized that the actual conference is a ten minute walk away. For me anyway. And the rooms are so spread apart and confusing which means a lot of standing which is the worse for me. And I knew going in that the book fair would be impossible. But now I can go! And the scooter is super cool. I wish I could mow people down like a crazy grandma.
So today I will be at my leisure. And I won't have to take pain medicine. I hope. Minneapolis is a nice city but it's cold. It snowed slushed last night.
I will go to a couple of panels and to the book fair and I hope I. And can stay up for T C Boyle and Francine Prose tongit but it doesn't start until 8:30 and we've been going to sleep at 8:00 so I probably won't be able to. But I will get to meet some editors and see some friends. I am looking forward to the day.
