I hope you have read my conversation with Reiser Perkins on the front page of this site. She is marvelous. A dancer, a writer, a musician. And have you ever seen anything so lovely?
One of my readers has finished the manuscript and she loves it but is not yet sure there's enough cohesion there. Cohesion is always my problem. Because I am a poet. It's easy enough to keep a poem in check, but not so with longer long long books and things that want very much to become books.
Today has been a good day. My strength returned. I got a please-send-more rejection. And I wrote my letters and cards which I will post tomorrow.
I want to begin the next thing. Which I hope will be a novel.
And to all of us everywhere the words of gods into our ears.
Then God put the string with the little marble around my neck and put in me in charge of the world and told me I could do whatever I wanted with it. Sometimes I spin it really fast and sometimes I swing it back and forth real slow and hypnotize the angels which is easy to do because they are so suggestible.
