The baby Jesus was the most well-behaved, no crying did he make, at all.
Please let us every girl and woman and wounded broken-tailed cat in us forgive the Church forgive them forgive them lift them up and breathe.
I did enjoy the party very much though I did not know how much until this morning. And I did wake up and I made it to the Xmas pageant and I stayed for church and I craved India Mahal and I did eat of it and I did not get sick.
The party was special. Back in my house again after much too long, Beth Ann and Tracye and Gale, and new to my house my next-door neighbors, Correll and Donny, and Eric, our Chaplin from church and my friend, Connie, also from Grace. There was too much food by miles and miles. Hardly any of the cheese was eaten. Hahahahahahahahaha!
It turned out small and I frittered here and there and here and mingled mingled was tired tired and about to disembark when Ralph said really you're going to bed now so I plopped down in a chair and we talked and talked and then did a bit of polar express on the lawn and I was filled with much cheer and good feeling. I am lucky to have good friends and family. Alex/Ross drank vats of gin and slept on our sofa overnight and it was right and quite proper to have my son back under my roof for the evening.
I drifted through a sweet sweet nap this afternoon and awoke refreshed and cleaned up the rest of the party refuse and my kitchen is a great expanse of counter SPACE. I have also begun another closet purge so that there will be even more SPACE.
I have reading for tomorrow night's class. I have for-pay work to do. I have a hanging thread of teaching work to clean up. I have writing to do on the "novel." And Xmas is coming--
Xmas Eve Lunch/Dinner with my Brother and Father.
Xmas Morning at Linda Sue's.
Xmas Lunch/Dinner at Linda Sue's.
New Year's Eve at Home.
New Year's Lunch/Dinner at Linda Sue's.
(Also should mention that I have joined the Altar Guild and have already fallen down on my duties because I have not been trained and did not understand exactly what those duties were but, still.)
